Founded in Quebec in 1969, Bermatex Inc. quickly established itself as Canada’s leading manufacturer of textured polyester, polyamide (nylon), polypropylene yarns and air-covered Spandex yarns.

At the heart of its operations is the texturing of multifilament yarns, particularly melange or heather yarns. These have traditionally been produced according to a false-twisting process whose technology was developed with the help of Karl Berlinger, one of the firm’s two founding partners.

Today, the company’s unique expertise in this area is reflected in the quality and diversity of its products, its excellent service, and its ability to respond quickly to the customized needs of a broad-based clientele.
