Manufacturing processes

      At the core of our operations is texturing, a process that makes it possible to modify the linear structure of the filament by exploiting a fiber’s thermoplastic property: combining mechanical friction with high temperature gives fibers an undulated form.

The finished product acquires various characteristics such as elasticity to traction and immediate return, voluminosity, covering power and softness. The finished product is spooled onto tubes for use in dyeing, weaving and knitting processes.

      State-of-the-art equipment that includes pin and friction units as well as air-jet texturing machines allows us to offer a line of products unique in North America. At Bermatex, we also have the latest in efficient, multipurpose equipment featuring the most recent mechanical and electronic improvements. This ensures continuous control of product quality.
